ABOUT
Since his student’s years, Osaka-based Japanese artist Kenji Shibata was always fascinated by the idea of immortalization through art, investigating the attempt to preserve splendor.
Shibata explores the themes of beauty and decay, capturing floral beauty with a great sense of sensitivity and aesthetic. His series ‘Locked in the Ether’ reflects on evanescence, beauty, life and death and suggests a new perception of time and space.
