ABOUT

Shila Oringer is an Israeli autodidact artist who has been exploring in her very own way the connection between man and his essence and his relationship with nature and abandoned materials for the last 20 years.

Wooden boards, rust surfaces are her canvas. These recycled materials whisper to her what new story and meaning they seek, becoming allies in a creation process that is strongly routed in ecology, conservation and in life cycles understanding.

The dialogue in the work leads her to exploration and intimacy with small details, shaping a game of micro and macro.

The challenge of identifying potential and its execution is the very basis of Oringer’s creativity, and it is also the hidden and central message to the viewer. Her recycling work comes to awaken us to an ancient memory that we are all expressions of the same creation.

Her works have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions since 2005.
