ABOUT

Self-taught Israeli Artist and sculptor Liora Kanterewicz learned drawing with artists Miri Nishri and Yaacov Mishori who influenced her work and draws her inspiration from Nature and from her own emotions and life.

The primary language in her childhood home was the language of “Making”. As the artist recalled, “everything we wanted and were not able to buy, we would ask from two talented parents and we would got a magic act. My clothes- sewed by my mother, a decorated boat we skied with on the Kinneret – my father built it from scratch. Creation was made from necessity but mostly, love and passion. Thus realizing that the work itself is unique and consumerism is a false imitation.”

Her aspiration is that her art will stimulate those watching it to look around, into themselves and will fill them with passion, freedom and love, if only for one little moment.
