Born in 1957 in Australia, Israeli photographer Gadi Dagon started his career in the late-70s, working for various newspapers and magazines in Israel, including Yedioth and Maariv for which he specialized in Fashion and Advertising works. From 2004, he devoted his work to high culture, focusing on performing art and dance photography, capturing exclusive images of the most famous dance companies and theaters in Israel, such as the Israel Ballet, the Israeli Opera, the Cameri and the Khan theaters and worked with the internationally acclaimed dance company Mayumana.

Chosen to be the personal photographer of the famous international dance company Batsheva, he spent years capturing their most magical and captivating moments on stage and behind the scenes. His work reflects a distinctive and conceptual approach to dance photography and motion interpretation. Gadi Dagon’s works has been published in several books and widely exhibited in galleries, private exhibits and museum exhibitions.
