Born in Rome, Italian photographer Alessio Trerotoli graduated in 2009 in Disciplines of Arts and Cinema.

Since his first exhibition in 2010, Alessio Trerotoli’s works have been exhibited in several galleries in Italy, as well as in Istanbul and Budapest. In 2012, Trerotoli published his first book “Fuori dalla caverna” with photographs from his travels in Europe and in America and started to work on his notorious “Urban Melodies” series where he depicted through superimpositions, an abstract vision of urban scenes from modern metropolis like Rome, New York, Paris, Berlin and many others. Other recent works include “Roma Coast to Coast” documenting a 21km walking trip through the Italian capital and his ‘365 Project’ on Instagram.

Through his photographs, Alessio Trerotoli tries to catch the real soul of a street or a building, with something that belongs to its history and in the same time to its daily life. The inspiration behind his work come from the daily life in modern cities and the search for beauty in the alienated modern urban landscapes. He sees his art as being “a puzzle, an enigma to solve. The right combination exists, but we have to find it.”
