Photography - Archival Pigment print
Adam Spiegel
Adam Spiegel is an autodidactic artist and one of the first drone photographers in Israel, practicing aerial photography since 2012. In his work, Spiegel explores familiar and well known structures and locations from a different perspective.
A dominant theme in Spiegel’s work is the human impact on the environment. He finds an interest in showing the traces that we leave on the face of the Earth, such as urban or agriculture structures: they provide insights about the relationship between man and the environment. These man-made traces will eventually vanish, and his photographs aim to turn them into a memory, sometimes intentionally and sometimes unintentionally. The documentation of these traces through aerial photography creates a complex and fascinating image of our relationship with nature.
