Daniel Remer
Influenced by the early Metaphysical painters and still life Flemish esthetics, Daniel Remer has developed his own unique visual language. His work focuses on existential issues expressed through still-life compositions. By the precise arrangement and juxtaposition of objects and materials, Remer imbues his work with meaning and symbolism.
His distinctive style has won him recognition and several prestigious awards, including 2022 European Photography Awards, in Fine Art category.
Remer was born and grew up in London, England, and is now living and working in Israel.
He was drawn to photography from a very early age, but in his late teens migrated into filmmaking. Graduated with honors from The London Film School, Daniel Remer pursued a career in the movies industry, working with filmmaker and entertainment tycoon Jim Henson on high-profile movies and television shows, both in the UK and the USA.
In the last several years, he chose to return to his passion for the still image. In his view, the focus on still life photography allows him to “never having to compromise [his] vision. Working with inanimate objects allows complete control and total freedom.”

2022 – Gold Winner, European Photography Awards, Fine Art – Still Life. “Farewell To Surrealism”.
